Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
1. Who we are
LifeOS ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LifeOS app and website at getlifeos.info. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@getlifeos.info.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and an optional display name.
Content you create. Any data you enter into LifeOS modules — trips, tasks, notes, calendar events, financial entries, health logs, documents — is stored to provide the service.
Third-party integrations. When you connect Google Workspace, Gmail, Calendar, or other services, we receive and store only the data you explicitly authorize through OAuth. We store OAuth tokens in encrypted form and never access your connected accounts beyond what each integration requires.
Usage analytics. We collect anonymous product usage data (which features you use, session duration, device type) via PostHog to improve LifeOS. This data is not linked to your identity.
Device and log data. Like most web services, our servers automatically log your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Logs are retained for 30 days and used only for security and debugging.
Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we receive and store only a Stripe customer ID and the last 4 digits of your card for display purposes.
3. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the LifeOS service
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To respond to your support requests
- To send transactional emails (account, billing, security alerts)
- To improve the product through anonymous analytics
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content or data to train AI models. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
4. AI features
LifeOS includes an AI Assistant powered by Anthropic Claude. When you use the Assistant, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. We do not retain Assistant conversation history beyond your current session unless you explicitly save it.
5. Data sharing
We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only as needed to operate LifeOS:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Anthropic — AI model API (only content you send to the Assistant)
- Stripe — payment processing
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics
- Google — Maps, Calendar, Gmail APIs (only when you connect integrations)
We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect legal rights.
6. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your data within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g., billing records for 7 years under tax law).
7. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). OAuth tokens for third-party integrations are encrypted with an application-level key before being stored in the database. We follow industry-standard security practices including access controls, audit logging, and periodic security reviews.
To report a security vulnerability, email security@getlifeos.info.
8. Children's privacy
LifeOS is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@getlifeos.info.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — delete your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — opt out of analytics collection
- Restriction — limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
To exercise these rights, go to Settings → Account in the app, or email privacy@getlifeos.info. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
10. GDPR (European users)
If you are in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your data is:
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interest — security logging, fraud prevention, anonymous analytics
- Legal obligation — retaining billing records
- Consent — marketing communications (where applicable)
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. CCPA (California users)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale (we do not sell data). To exercise your CCPA rights, email privacy@getlifeos.info.
12. International transfers
LifeOS is operated from the United States. If you access LifeOS from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. For EU/EEA users, such transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of LifeOS after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
